Ralph D. Farley focuses his practice on employment, labour and human rights law. Since 1973, he has represented employers before the labour relations boards of many Canadian provinces, as well as before the Canada Industrial Relations Board. He has represented hospitals, universities and other corporate employers before the Quebec Labour Relations Commission and various arbitration boards. He has pleaded before labour arbitrators in most Canadian jurisdictions, before the civil courts of Quebec and the courts of Ontario and Nova Scotia. Moreover, he has negotiated many collective agreements in both Quebec and Ontario.
Mr. Farley has been a lecturer on labour law at McGill University’s Faculty of Management since 1981. In addition, he has given many conferences and seminars for the Canadian Bar Association and other professional organizations.
Mr. Farley is vice-president of the board of the Fondation du Centre hospitalier universitaire de Sherbrooke (CHUS).
Mr. Farley joined Heenan Blaikie in 1978.
