Francine Legault focuses her practice on occupational health and safety. More particularly, she represents clients before the conciliation and decision-making officers of the Commission de la santé et de la sécurité du travail and the Commission des lésions professionnelles. She also represents employers before the Commission des relations du travail and arbitration boards.
Ms. Legault has been teaching Législation en santé et sécurité du travail (Occupational Health and Safety Legislation) at the Université de Sherbrooke since 2000. In addition, she has been sitting on the board of directors and the executive committee of the Canadian Mental Health Association since 1996. Furthermore, she is the co-author of Le congédiement en droit québécois and 14 Questions Frequently Asked in Quebec Labour and Employment Law.
Ms. Legault has been recognized in the 2012 Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory in occupational health and safety.
A partner with Heenan Blaikie, Ms. Legault joined our Labour and Employment Law group in 1993 after working as a graduate nurse in a hospital environment for eight years.
